Nina Dress in Natural
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be contacted when this dress is back in stock.
This Nina Dress is made with a 100% cotton fabric called Sile Bezi. The unique texture of this fabric comes from being washed with sea water and dried on the beach. It’s produced by an ethical and fairtrade family owned business close to Istanbul and is hand woven on a special wooden looms that have been used for hundreds of years.
This dress is designed to be worn with the seams on the outside. Over time, because of the curly yarn, the edges will fray perfectly.
Please note this dress no longer has a front slit.
Inspired by slower days, the Nina dress is a versatile garment that will carry you from casual home days to going out.Although this dress has plenty of room and fits loose, the deep v-neck and side slits give it a little flare especially when styled. We love it paired with the Talisman Pouch Necklace and for colder days we love it layered with a fitted long sleeve top.
Ethically made in Denver, CO
Measurements: This Kaftan shaped dress is 26" tube like shape all the way down from bust to hem giving it a total of 52" around.

All of our designing and production takes place in Denver, CO. Currently we have a team of two people. Meçlâ designs and sews the very first sample, then it is handed over to another local designer, Mimi Shim Studio, to make the pattern as well as sew the orders. They work closely together to get the fit and sizing right before the style is launched. All orders are made-to-order and take 1-3 weeks to ship.
Some of our clothing is made from deadstock fabric from LA. This means that the fabric we purchase is similar to the idea of thrifting for clothing. We buy from a warehouse that is full of fabric that has been over produced by large companies or considered slightly flawed.
We also use cotton fabrics (Sile Bezi, Muslin, and Cotton Voile prints) sourced from a fairtrade, cruelty-free production company in Turkey. The majority of fabrics they make are hand-loomed with the exception of the floral cotton voile. They value working with small businesses and allow me to order in very small quantities.
A few of our most recent fabrics have been purchased through a traditional wholesale company. These fabrics are 100% cotton and are bought in very small quantities.
More about us
Fashion is far from sustainable, but we hope to make a difference by only making what we can sell and design clothing that will last. We value ethical working conditions, livable wages, and local production. We also love our diverse Denver community and often work with and support other local women-owned, creative businesses.
Hi! I'm Meçlâ, owner and designer of the clothing you see in this shop! After years of doing just about everything in the fashion industry, I'm finally fulfilling my original dream of designing and making clothing. Most of my time spent in the fashion world, whether I was buying, merchandising, selling, or styling was around high-end designer clothing. Before I opened my shop, I spent a few years working locally which allowed me to get to know my Denver community and clients.
When it comes to designing clothing, my focus is to make quality pieces and to help people build an interesting wardrobe that combines classic silhouettes with high fashion details. That's why when I started my own label, I wanted to make a clothing line that is fashionable, ethically produced, and made to last for years to come. This wasn't easy in the beginning and I've learned so much this past year! I feel my most recent dresses accomplish this idea of "fashionable with a mix of timeless" and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Thank you so much for stopping by my shop! I'm learning so much on this journey and appreciate your support along the way. Please take a look around and always reach out to me if you have questions.
